Frequently asked questions
Practical answers about choosing a used truck, inspections, quotations, payment checks, shipping, import documents and after-sales arrangements.

Choosing a vehicle & stock
Is every listed vehicle currently available?
A listing is a starting point, not a stock reservation. Send the product link or stock reference and ask for current availability, the exact chassis or vehicle identification number, configuration and recent photos. Confirm which unit the quotation covers before agreeing to buy.
How do I choose the right truck configuration?
Describe the cargo, intended load, route, gradients, road surface and loading or unloading method. Confirm local weight and dimension limits, axle and tyre ratings, steering position and trailer compatibility with a competent adviser. Horsepower or body volume alone does not establish suitability.
Do website photos show the exact vehicle I will receive?
Check the media labels and request dated photos and continuous videos of the quoted unit, including its identification plate. Illustrative or reference media do not prove the condition or availability of a specific truck. Keep the agreed vehicle identity in the written offer.
Condition & inspection
Can I arrange a video inspection or an independent inspector?
Ask what access can be arranged for the specific vehicle before paying. Agree the inspector, scope, date, fees and report format in writing. Request a cold start, walkaround and checks of the chassis and working equipment. Videos do not replace competent mechanical assessment or controlled brake testing.
How should mileage, repairs and known defects be recorded?
Ask which details are confirmed and which are estimates. Compare instrument readings with available service records, and request disclosure of major repairs, replacement components and known defects. Record uninspected areas and agree which repairs are included, how they will be verified and who bears the cost.
Can a vehicle be refurbished or modified before shipment?
Discuss the exact work with the seller and a competent technical adviser before ordering. Confirm feasibility, compliance at the destination, cost, parts, timing and inspection after the work. Do not assume that repainting, changing a body or other alterations are included or approved for your market.
Quotations & payment
What information should I send for a quotation?
Include a product link or stock reference, quantity, intended work, mandatory specifications, destination country and port, inspection needs and preferred purchase window. If you have not chosen a truck, describe the job. Ask for current availability and a vehicle-specific written offer.
Does the quoted price include freight, insurance and taxes?
Ask for the Incoterms rule, named place or port, and edition, together with a breakdown of included and excluded costs. Confirm vehicle preparation, inland transport, export clearance, freight, insurance, destination charges and taxes separately. A blank cost line is not confirmation that the service is free.
Which payment terms apply, and what should I verify?
Payment method, deposit, stages and any cancellation or refund terms must be agreed for the order in the contract; this page does not confirm a standard arrangement. Verify the seller, invoice and beneficiary through an independently verified contact. Recheck unexpected bank-detail changes before transferring funds.
Shipping & import documents
Will the truck travel by Ro-Ro, container or another method?
The options depend on dimensions, weight, running condition, route and carrier availability. Ask for a shipment-specific proposal and confirm any dismantling, handling, securing and insurance. Do not assume a truck fits a container or that a particular service operates to your port.
How long will preparation and shipping take?
Request separate estimates for agreed preparation, inspection, inland movement, port handling, sailing and destination clearance. Confirm what must happen before booking. Vessel schedules, space and customs may change, so a requested arrival date or a general estimate is not a guaranteed delivery date.
Can this truck be imported and registered in my country?
Have a competent local customs or registration adviser check the current requirements before purchase: age, steering position, emissions, weights, inspections and documents. Export availability does not establish import or road-use eligibility. Do not rely on general website advice for country-specific approval or tax rates.
Which documents and loading evidence should I request?
Agree the invoice, packing list, bill of lading and any origin, inspection or other documents required for the transaction and destination. Clarify who provides each document, its format, cost and timing. Request loading evidence linked to the vehicle identity and, where applicable, container and seal numbers.
Handover & after-sales
Are a warranty, spare parts or technical support included?
Do not assume a used vehicle has a standard warranty or that parts are included. Ask for the written scope, exclusions, duration, claim process and responsibility for parts, labour and freight. Parts compatibility, availability and support at the destination must be confirmed for the actual order.
What should I do if I find damage or a problem on arrival?
Record the vehicle identity, delivery documents and dated photos or video before accepting handover where possible. Notify the relevant seller, carrier or insurer promptly under the contract and applicable deadlines. If safety is in doubt, stop using the vehicle and arrange a competent inspection; keep the evidence and correspondence.
